SCO future customers

Given the incredibly bad public relations mess SCO has created with the lawsuit and threats I believe that a huge percentage of companies and programmers think poorly of SCO at this point. So who is SCO going to sell software to? I expect most people programming with or buying web services software won't buy from SCO. I know I wouldn't buy anything from SCO myself.
SCO had to realize the firestorm that would result from their legal strategy. This leads me to believe they are not planning on selling software in the future but planning on getting 100% of their income from IP like rambus.Once you create enough of a bad taste to turn your company into a pariah, legal action is the only way left to make money.
Just heard David Boies took the case on contingency. Boy do I feel sorry for him.
