As you should realize by now, meaningless hype affects this stock. It went from $2 to the current price on speculation about the potential for a payday from the IBM suit.
So SCOX announces the CEO is going to Japan and that there is a press conference on Wednesday. Does any of this have any effect on revenue SCO might get? I don't think so, but the stock goes up anyway. What effect do I think Darl is going to have in Japan? None. What effect do I think it will have if SCOX announces some stupid "linux license" on Wednesday? None.
At this point you should expect any hype to move the stock. The "greater fool" theory is working. There are starry-eyed sheep that will toss money into this stock on every piece of hype that comes along. In the absense of new hype, it will trend down.
Don't complain about it, adapt and use the knowledge to make money.
Lets see what happens on real news like when SCO releases earnings.
