Their only perspective is money, money, money. But every responsible investor in SCO should be aware that greed isn't everything in life: don't forget to show benevolence and charity from time to time. Look at SCO's management: They seem to be a bunch of pretty modest folks. They are demonstrating charity by their actions each and every day. 1) they were content with the lesser money they made selling their Linux licenceses to a hand full (OK, some fingers amputated) of corporations so far. SCO could have charged millions of Linux users for their 'IP' reaping in billions of $$$. But they didn't. Because making money isn't SCO management's primary goal. Recs: 0 This seems to be funny: SCO claims that "We're finding...cases where there is line-by-line code in the Linux kernel that is matching up to our UnixWare code," McBride said in an interview. Now SCO is publishing Linux under the GPL licence which states that: "You must cause any work that you distribute or publish, that whole or in part contains or is derived from the Program or any part thereof, to be licensed as a whole at no charge to all third parties under the terms of this License". Meanwhile, even though they would still hold the copyright on the infringing code, they would have released it under the GPL, and can't relicense it without running into yet another problem: "You may not copy, modify, sublicense, or distribute the Program except as expressly provided under this License.
