I bet Darl & Co. would really like to change the subject right about now. I wonder how long it'll be before we see another mysterious "DDOS attack". Or maybe they'll dirty Darl up a bit and claim he was mugged by a pack of commie Linux hippies.
My money's on the second strategy. They've already laid the groundwork for it with the whole bodyguards business. That was step one. Step two, stage a mugging at a convenient time, to distract from negative news in the IBM case. This shouldn't be hard. Just get one of those neato axe-through-the-head thingys at a local costume shop, and squirt some ketchup around to make it look gory. Write "Linux Was Here" in big letters at the crime scene, so it's absolutely clear who's supposed to have done this. Step three, Darl, Kevin, & co. fake their own deaths and hoof it off to the Caymans to enjoy their ill-gotten gains.
